Work smarter not harder. Commercial buildings present many challenges during a fire fight but knowing what they have to offer will make your job easier and safer. This class reviews and discusses the built-in active and passive fire protection systems that make up the building’s fire and life safety system and gives the participants an understanding of the basic workings of said systems. Upon completion, participants will be able to return to their departments and look at commercial buildings and other target hazards in their first due response district and make changes in strategy and tactics and on pre-fire plans. Firefighter safety is emphasized throughout the workshop.
