This program is approved by the Division of Fire Safety to satisfy the program of instruction criteria for certification as Fire Instructor Level II. The 45-hour program utilizes the IFSTA textbook referenced above, and is designed to present the student with advanced skills to manage instructional resources, schedule training sessions, supervise and coordinate the activities of other instructors, evaluate subordinate instructors, develop and review lesson plans, develop evaluation instruments, and analyze the results of student evaluations. Successful completion of the program grants the student eligibility to take the State Fire Instructor Level II written examination.
