The fire extinguisher training program is designed to be used as a training program for authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) and other interested parties. It is designed to assist the AHJ in recognizing the proper selection, placement, classification, and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers. The content of the class is based on the requirements of NFPA 10, Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers, and includes descriptions and examples of typical industry practices regarding the placement, installation, inspection, maintenance and service of fire extinguishers.
